The State Technology Conference is held
annually for Boys & Girls Club professionals to promote excellence in
technology programming. The conference is planned by the state mentor
group with support from local Club staff, national staff and the NPCE
team. It is designed to provide a
multitude of training opportunities to meet the needs of a
variety of Club professionals, from new staff to seasoned veterans.
In addition, the conference strives to provide a venue for Club
professionals to network with their peers, sharing best practices and
utilizing their collective expertise to develop new programs and ideas.

Technology Program Leadership Institute
In addition to the traditional workshops and sessions, the conference is
host to the first Technology Program Leadership Institute (TPLI).
This institute is an intensive, 3-day, small group workshop designed to
engage small groups of Club professionals in a collaborative project,
using technology tools to create a multimedia product that promotes
positive youth development practices in Boys & Girls Clubs. In order to
participate in the TPLI, you must pre-register on the registration form.
Participation in the TPLI is limited to 12 Club professionals.

Registration
Each person who plans to attend the
conference must complete a registration form. Due to the
generosity of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, registration fees for
all Clubs participating in the Washington State Alliance Bridging the
Digital Divide grant have been waived. Registration fee for all other Clubs is $175 per
attendee. To avoid late
registration fees, register on or before May 1, 2006.
What's Included?
All sessions offered throughout the conference and any meals listed
in the schedule are included.

Cancellation Policy: To
receive a refund, cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by
fax or e-mail no later than Friday, May 26, 2006, by 5:00 p.m. PST.
A $25 fee will be charged for each cancellation. E-mail your
cancellation requests to
training@waabgc.org or fax to 480-699-7168. Failure
to cancel before this deadline will result in forfeiture of entire
registration fee.
Late Registration: Registrations
received after May 1, 2006, will have a $50 fee added to your
registration costs.

Doubletree Inn located in downtown Bellevue. From the hotel it
is just a short walk from local shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
A block of rooms has been reserved at a special conference rate of $129
per night plus applicable taxes and fees. Hotel parking is
complementary for all conference attendees. This rate is
guaranteed through May 1, 2006, subject to availability.
Due to the generosity of the Bill &
Melinda Gates Foundation, hotel expenses for all Clubs participating in
the Washington State Alliance Bridging the Digital Divide grant have
been waived. All hotel accommodations for Washington State
Alliance Clubs will be handled by the conference manager.
